Terry asked:

I just got the Callaway GES club set that I bought on Ebay. It has three woods, three irons which are I think are hybrids but these are my first golf clubs so I’m a bit confused and a putter. There is no wedge, or at least nothing that says it is a wedge. The clubs are all labeled as driver, long fairway wood, mid fairway wood, long iron, mid iron, short iron and obviously putter. So I am curious if anyone knows which of these clubs I would use in sand? Right now I am just practicing driving but eventually I want to play on a course so will need to know which to use. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

My hubby really loves to golf, but in the divorce he had to leave his house and his ex threw away his clubs. I want to surprise him at Christmas with a new set, I know nothing about golf… I bought our daughter Mickey Mouse ones from the disney store…. but I want to get a nice set for him that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I really want to know the distance I hit certain clubs in my bag. I don’t trust range balls, driving range or any course measurements, indoor golf simulators, etc. Short of finding an area large enough to do my own measurements using my own tools with my own balls, what is the best way to determine how far a hit my 5-iron, 9-iron, sand wedge, etc.?

I have a whole set of Prince golf clubs and have been using them steady for a while. The grips that I have on now are starting to rub off onto my glove, and I think they are at least 5 years old.

I really want some new grips, and I want to get it done professionally at a golf shop. ( Example: Nevada Bob’s)

How much would it cost to get all of my clubs done? I would say that there are 12 clubs including my putter.

Just a rough estimate would be great!

David

I’m 5′4″, male and have been using women’s sized golf clubs for a while. I want to get mens clubs but don’t know if they will be too big and affect my game. I know a lot of kids my age and size that use full men’s size clubs. The ladies flex is too flexible and i tend to hit a fade…. Also, any suggestions for relatively cheap iron sets? ($200-$300)
