How do i know what length/type of golf clubs to buy?

I am a complete beginner, i’ve played some pitch and putts but not much, just want to be able to go out with my friends golfing on a real course a few times a week. I am wondering if there is a way to tell like the length of the clubs you should buy, I am 5′9. Also, if i want to buy a complete set but not something ridiculously expensive could you recommend something. I am a lefty too i don’t know if that makes a difference.

For what type of gold clubs have to buy from that fancy gold shop or online and look for what they will say than you dont have size and say than you dont have to buy from that fancy shop because it will say can you dont have to buy from.
