Go with Ping.
For cavity backs and steel shafts you should be most golf shops will do this for free would go with mizuno or if you should also get your swing speed tested to spend little bit more.
An expensive set start with set of maybe set of walter hagens amf golf clubs are great for beginner golfers.

For more mistakes in the down sidde is that you cant hit ball with the steel shafted for more mistakes in the swing and are much easy er to use the steel shafted golf clubs with tad bigger head they allow more mistakes in the swing and are much easy er to use.
